Wellbeing

Notice:

Exciting new sites coming soon ‘9 Wellbeing’ & ‘9 Coaching’. All therapy, coaching and supervision services continue as usual in the meantime, If you have any queries, please contact me.

Welcome to the world of wellbeing!

I am Nicola Forshaw, a BACP registered and accredited psychotherapist, cognitive behavioural trauma-focused therapist and supervisor. As a BUPA recognised professional, I work from beautiful consulting rooms in my private therapy centre “Rooms @ No 9” in the Wirral area.

In addition to therapeutic practice, I am a Lecturer in Counselling & Psychotherapy at the Universities of Keele and Chester, teaching on Counselling Psychology Master’s Programmes. Prior to undertaking an academic career, I enjoyed over 11 years experience of working as an NHS psychotherapist in primary care and specialist eating disorder and personality disorder settings.

During 2005, I established my first private practice, NJ Coaching, and as a qualified and experienced coach, my coaching has been featured on Sky TV & BBC Radio. Having evolved NJ Coaching into my practice @ No 9, I continue to thrive in the coaching world, and deliver bespoke  Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) endorsed coach training programmes within private and business sectors.  Recently, I have consulted on introducing coaching into medicine and training Senior Consultants in coaching skills; this work has been published in the BACP Journal, Coaching Today.

This site is offered as a window into the world of wellbeing: therapy, coaching and supervision.  The wealth of information provided here is offered as a free resource for anyone who requires help or may be reflecting upon the need to make change. I wish you well in your endeavour.

If you are an individual who requires support, an organisation seeking to develop their coaching culture, or an allied professional looking to develop their practice through supervision, or by renting a consultation room, please feel free to contact me to find out more.
